Sony and Honda introduced their new electric vehicle brand, Afeela, at CES
Sony and Honda said almost a year ago that they wanted to work together to make and sell electric vehicles. They have now shown off a prototype of their product, which they are selling under the name Afeela.
The four-door sedan was driven onstage at CES on Wednesday as Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida discussed the company's mobility philosophy, which prioritizes building vehicles with autonomous capabilities that can be transformed into "moving entertainment spaces."
The Afeelas will be available for preorder in the first half of 2025, with sales beginning the following year, according to Yoshida. The first shipments will be made to North American customers in the spring of 2026..

Sony and Honda have previously stated that the new EV will be manufactured initially at Honda's North American factory and will have Level 3 automated driving capabilities under limited conditions. Level 3 autonomy means that the car can drive in situations such as traffic jams, but the human driver must take over when the system asks.
Sony shared new information about the car's design, like how it will have external media built into the front so it can talk to other drivers and share important information.
