Elon Musk expects Neuralink to start human trials in 6 months

Elon Musk said he expects a wireless brain chip developed by his firm Neuralink to begin human clinical trials in six months after the firm missed his earlier timelines. Neuralink is developing brain chip interfaces that it says could enable disabled patients to move and communicate again, with Musk adding that the firm will also target restoring vision. Based in Austin, Texas, and the San Francisco Bay Area, Neuralink has in recent years been conducting tests on animals as it seeks approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to start clinical trials in people.
